I dont know if there are tutorials for this kind of thing. Something you just have to learn along the way. Its not really any one step, more of a process of combined techniques. I'll be happy to give you my photoshop files so you can look them over if you want.
Just found this wallpaper, downloaded the wallpaper pack, using it on my phone, laptop and tried on my desktop....Unfortunately my monitor resolution is too big! Lines look blurry, wondering if you have one that's higher than 1920x1200....perhaps 2048X1152? Thanks bud!
first - this is completely amazing, your combination of repeating shapes, perpendicular/parallel lines, and 45⁰ angles as well as use of a strong contrast between the bright colors in the foreground shapes with the thinly striped dark gray background gives a stunning appearance.
second - search this image on TinEye, it's surprising, but this wallpaper has gotten praise on several other sites across the web.
